Bad word bad word. Last week was pretty bad.

I told my friend Saturday that this week has to be better. No way could it be any worse.

Well Sunday took that as a challenge. Let me start at Thursday though.

I was supposed to go over to my parents house and help my mom while my dad went on a poker run with his bike club.

Thursday he started to feel sick. No biggie. He beat pancreatic cancer but not without taking a toll.

Friday mom msged me and said that dad had the stomach flu. I told her I wanted to come and help. But mom was worried about me. If I get sick I get bronchitis and it goes into asthma.

Saturday he quit eating. Not good. But talked him into eating.

Sunday he woke mom up and told her he needed to go to the hospital.

My mom msged me and told me she needed me. Dad was in the hospital.

I was at church. My phone was off.

I got a ride to the hospital. When I got there I found him. He passed away.

Turned out he had blood poisoning not the flu.

I'm so so sorry to hear that. My dad died suddenly too. How old was he ? Do you have brothers and sisters?

I don't even know what blood poisoning is. It sounds so sudden. I too lost my dad very suddenly, it was a shock. Eventually you stop waking up thinking they will be there. That's all I know to say. It does get a little easier to deal with after a few months.

Blood poisoning Is when a infection gets into the blood stream through abrasions or cuts or if you have a weak immune system. He had pancreatic cancer 7 years ago. He beat it but ever since then his immune system has been compromised. The flu went into his blood stream.

In a way I wasn't surprised. When mom told me that he had the flu I wanted to come over and help, but they were worried about me. I somehow KNEW he was gonna die but I thought I was being ridiculous, I thought I was hearing voices so I didn't see a reason to tell mom.
