The past . . .
we all have a past . . . we all make mistakes. sometimes people make mistakes at us, and they come back and hurt us in the future. But you know the one guy once said: "Those who don't learn from history, are doomed to repeat it!"
that maybe true. sounds like you are really working at it though and are really trying to become a strong better person. the past doesn't shape who you are, the past, can if you allow it to, but what the past is supposed to do, is to give you something to look back at.
Think of the past as a photo-album, and everytime you look back at it, you see a picture, and think about what happened when you did that action.
for example:
The stove was on, mom had a pot of stew on it, and you wanted to help so you climbed up on the counter and touched the pot. it burned and it hurt.
you now have learned that the pot on the stove that is on can burn. its just an example. but really, the past is the past my dear. But your past is different. Addictions are like depression, they cling themselves in the cracks of life and come out and bite you and hurt you and eat at you, and beat at you. but eventually you look inside yourself, and you see the will that you have to fight against this addiction and you beat it. you rise up and against this addiction this SI and you beat it you over power it and you can move forward happily ever after.
but the only one to mester up this will power is you . . .
i hope this helps
