Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

I'm not perfect, I still have my issues, I have numbness and depressive episodes but they're shorter and occur less often.
I hope you feel better soon!!
Do you have somewhere safe to walk?
A gym might be too hard to go to.
I couldn't go in to a gym right now.
I fled a restaurant last night, too busy, too loud, too many people. Didn't even recognize my friend, who was wearing a bright orange shirt. Couldn't see him with all that going on, walked out.
Couldn't go back in.
Walking helps me get my brain healing.
Walking helps me focus on nature, the birds signing, the quiet.
I wear head phones, the ones that quiet when I get like this if I have to ride the bus
Can't drive, well shouldn't.
I wear hooded sweatshirts and pull the hoods up so I can't see things on the side.
It's all too much.
I don't do medication except for extreme situations.
Try physical exercise if you can't walk. Anything that makes you sweat gets the endorphins, the feel good chemicals your body produces going and you will feel less depressed.
Exercise as much as you need to.
When I have stressful phone calls where you end up on hold forever, I put it on speaker phone and do knee lifts, leg lifts, jumping jacks and it really makes me deal with the stress.
The stress makes me depressed.
Everything is so hard
So I get physical
It gets easier.
Will you try that for me?
See if it helps you and let me know.
It helps me right away.
I hope it helps you right away
