Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
as an example that you're going to go to the Senior Center 2 times
this month, or go to the park and walk, even if just for 5 minutes - you have to take steps to improve things or they can't possibly improve. If you can't afford therapy, or don't want it, there are thousands of self-help books, and someone has been in a similar situation, and has written about what saved them. There is a solution to every problem and I hope you find what changes things for you in a positive way.
Sending good thoughts.

I agree with others to reach out to someone you know. Or, call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (www.suicidepreventionlifeline.org). It's 1-800-255-8255. I have called before. It connects you to local crisis centers who can help by listening, or connect you to resources if you need someone to come get you for emergency help.
I have had those feelings many times. I am very grateful that I've survived thus far. Every time, I have realized after the fact that things are not exactly as bad as they felt during the worst of it. I hope you keep posting to the board. I'll be looking for you.
