Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
for your Lupus if you got it, stress reduction helps, try not to hate yourself, you actually seem pretty cool, I mean I don't know you but you are young and graduate and other than just some anxiety and bloodwork I think you are really cool
Your symptoms sound a lot like mine. I have chronic Lyme Disease (it is a currently debated disease with the center for disease control as to whether it exists long term so many doctors are afraid to treat it and the blood tests for it are only 50% accurate). I went through a lot of the same strange diagnoses as you have. It can be a serious disease but with a couple of months of antibiotics fairly early on in the illness you are likely to make a full recovery. I had years of misdiagnoses and then the doc that finally diagnosed it was scared to treat it with the right drugs for long term because many docs who have done that have gotten prosecuted. So now I am going on 7 or 8 years of illness. Just try a month of Doxycycline. You will know if it works by if you start to get better or suddenly a lot worse (many people who have Lyme feel worse taking the antibiotc and then after soo much better).
Sorry I am pushing this diagnosis but the pieces match somewhat and I would hate for you to get chronic Lyme like me. It could also be some crazy side effects from the thyroid problem but thyroid problems are also a symptom of Lyme so idk. I really hope you get help soon. Big Hugs!!
I doubt it would be Lyme disease as I do regularly check for ticks on my skin and I don't have contact with animals or go hiking as I once did. I used to be an avid hiker before my knee pain took over about 4 years ago.
I am trying to stay hopeful, but I just don't know how long I can function at this rate.
I used to have problems with hypothyroidism until recently. It's not fun.
Are other medications for your thyroid any option? If not, are there any alternative treatments available?
Like Bored has mentioned, I think stress reduction is very important. Multiple sclerosis, lupus, and several other medical conditions will worsen with the presence of stress.
If your thyroid improves, I would think that you would likely feel better. Depression, anxiety, and fatigue are well-known symptoms of a low thyroid.
I hope you'll feel better soon. Hugs
