Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

Happiness does not come with marriage, or jobs, or no health issues. You could have all those things and still have depression. Depression touch everyone regardless of age, sex, or status.
I too from time to time pray that God will call my number. It is just to overwhelming sometimes, but once in a while the depression lifts enough to see something awesome in life that makes me want to continue. That is just the depression talking when I want to stop living.
If you are on meds, you might want to see your doctor as they may need to be adjusted. Also I would suggest you see a therapist. Perhaps the professionals can get you into a support group with others so you can feel less alone physically and emotionally. I know for me finding others with the same issues has been very helpful for me. I will be attending an outpatient program soon for mood disorders. I am looking forward to it.
I'm sorry to hear, that you feel exactly as I do. I'm also behind all of my friends...everyone is having kids and getting married. My job is terrible, and the program I'm trying to get into at school so competitive, I may never get accepted. I know what it feels like to be at rock bottom. I know how you feel when you say you feel alone. Sleep is bittersweet. I sleep WAY too much, but if I don't I will be tired and not want to be awake. I guess for some of us, life is just different. I feel that depression is part of who I am, and no matter what i will deal with it on and off. The lows are low. But once you've hit rock bottom the only direction you can go is up. I hope you feel better today than when you posted. Try to find a distraction. Exercise, movies, painting, a friend, a family member.
*hugs*
