Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I don't know if it helps but there is always a new day to put a smile on.
flute you must be young, i think you have to say to yourself, that you need to give this more time. you have many options as you grow up and become an adult. life for some is harder than others, it may level out for you, you may find someone that gives you strength and makes you feel youd never want to leave this earth for the joy you feel.
please dont do anything rash, patternskies, form the groups you are in, it sounds like you have had a terrible struggle. but i still hope you will find it within you to not act on any of the intense feelings you may be having. i have them too, im not talking from no experience here. i know all the feelings so well. but i do keep punching though sometimes i feel it wont get better. and i have my pets that i love and i feel i cant leave them as they need me. but they are all i have, no one else. not a soul that would miss me, care or call me if i were ill , or suicidal.
maybe nothing ive said has had any impact, but i do care and remember that.
Those of us on here at D>S think you are worth it and are here for you. I know that things we have gone through sometimes are hard to let us go and drag us down but we have to fight and try to deal with it and find a way to release it so we can win. We cannot let those who brougth us to this point win. You need to push through and fight back. You both ARE WORTH IT.
Just one thing positive, just thankful for one thing each day :)

You matter. Right now you can't see through the fog, but you matter. Don't make any rash decisions. (hugs)

She was 20 yrs old when she decided that life was too hard and killed herself. She died on Mothers day of 1988 and as I am typing this I have tears pouring down my face. One of our customers at work killed himself today and he was only 19 and it just brings it all back like it is happening to me again. My sister was a happy person. Intelligent and very kind. The thing about suicide is that they seem to forget that people love them and would do anything to get them through the pain they are feeling. I would give anything to have her back. I still miss her so much and the pain she was feeling was nothing to the pain I have gone through since she left me. Suicide is inconsiderate and very painful. And I know that life is suppose to teach you but what is the lesson here. I haven't learned anything but instead have become bitter and don't trust anyone. To anyone who is contemplating killing themselves please stop and think. The pain you are feeling will go away but your loved ones will never be the same again.
i just got that from yr link Thomas. 'The thing about suicide is that they seem to forget that people love them and would do anything to get them through the pain they are feeling.'' the ppl i know wont do anything to help me get thru the pain im feeling.
i dont undertsand hopw ppl say suicide is a selfish act. yes it hurts their loved ones, but what about the pain that the suicidal person is going through? what do we do about that? if that person who is suicidal continues to live, they will still be in the same pain...sure the feelings may fade but then they come back aagin...and that suicidal person is just hanging around annoying everyone...so what do we do about that? noone has any answers. i dont believe that ppl who dont experience depression have any right commenting on it, as they have no idea of the excruciating (sp) pain it puts you through.
and i dont believe god can help me, as im not religious.
