I Neva Get Any Privacy At Home, With Anything, Mai Mum Snoops At Everything :( She Goes Through All Mai Texts On Mai Phone When Im Not With It, Aswell As At Mai Laptop When I Leave It Running. I Have Neva Been Able To Keep Diarys, Since 2007/2008 When I Did When An I Would Catch Her Loads Reading It, An I Would Love To Do A Diary But I Know If I Did I Couldnt Be Truthful Init Cause She Would Find It And Read It Somehow :( I've Asked Her To Stop, I've Even Got Her To Swear On Mai Life Not To Do That Anymore An She Still Does, I Leave Mai Webcam On When I Go Have A Bath An I See Her Going Through Everything :( I Even Have This Book Im Doing For Mai Girlfriend Which Ima Send Her On Her Berthday, She Loves In India, An Really Personal Stuff That I Write She Will Read Through, So I Cant Even Write Certain Things In That. Things Like This Make Me Not Trust Her An Even Begin To Start Hating Her.

I Would Understand More If I Was Going Out All The time, So She Would Know If Im Meeting Some Stranger Or Something, But I Dont Remember The Last Time I Left The House By Myself, I Hardly Eva Leave It At All. I Dont Know How To Get Any Privacy :(

It's shameful that your Mum treats you like this. I would NEVER do this to my boys. If you've asked her already and she's still doing it then subterfuge is your only defence.

Like the others said, I would keep my phone with me, use passwords and cut off my computer when I am not using it. As for written stuff....I don't know, make a journal on the computer and keep it lock. We have a place for a journal here on DS

get a box let her see you putting stuff inside the box diary bags ect. then one day when she isn't there don't put anything in it just put a lock on it and toss the key don't worry about you wont never need to worry about it. when she takes it. tell her ok i have nothing to hide and let her take it. she will be so curious about the box. she ever asks about the box offer her something more valuable up to her. dirary notes anything.

My mother lives with me in my mobile home park. I have 7 grandchildren and my mother snoops in my room. I can tell when things just don't look right in my room, she stares at me all the time and I can't figure out why, and when I bring home groceries, or anything else, she has to go through my things, which drives me absolutely crazy!! It is very frustrating as you well know. If I bring a bag in and go by her so I can put it in my room because I don't think it's her business to see it, she asks me why I'm in such a hurry and why she can' see what I got. Well, maybe I would like some privacy??? I know exactly how you are feeling and I'm not a child anymore and don't need this childishness. I think the only thing you can do is either buy yourself a safe with a lock like I did, and to tell her how you feel about her going through your things. She really has no right to do that. I hope it all works out for you. I have a feeling your only saving Grace is buying a lock box.

It must be hard to live under such conditions, If she is unable to change perhaps there is an underlying reason for this, have you asked her why she feels the need to spy on you?
If she is unable to be trusted around your things I would advise moving out if you can. If not then as Juice suggested make up a diary for her to read and keep a real diary on here away from her
