Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Welcome.
Sorry for your health problems. This is a great place to vent. God understands depression and loneliness too. I'm a Christian who suffers from both. Sometimes, I feel that I don't fit in anywhere either. We're all here for you. Blessings.
"For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them."
That is all that is ex;pected in my interpretation. It works well for me.
Many go to church and are fake. They think that one day a week is enough God.
So you by not attending church tells me God is an everyday thing.
That is good. Pray ask for it. As we pray for you.
Churches are full of people who you wonder why they even come. What I was hoping to find in a church was a few close Christian friends. As it turns out God is the only true and faithful family and friend and savior.
Somethings that I find help me when I am down is getting out into Gods world and exploring. Go for a hike, walk, or bike ride, getting in touch with the wonderful world that He has provided us with.
For your church search, I hope you can find one that you are looking for. A good place to start and a tool I use when away from my home church are these websites. They haven't failed me yet in finding a good place to go!

Your screen name is Twiceborn. That's right. You are born 1st time in sin thanks to Adam. But you're now born 2nd time. This time in Jesus Christ, who is our 2nd Adam. Jesus Christ came to clean up & undo the mess Adam created in his disobedience to God. And clean up & restore, Jesus did! He has promised to undo & free us from sin that messes us up so terribly! Sin grips our heart very tightly & will not let go. But Christ has broken the power of sin. The power of His resurrection is ours, but we can only claim it by trusting His promise to be with us, and stepping out in obedience. It's still very scary, but by trusting Jesus' love for us we can take a small step in obedience... to trust Him, to love others, to forgive others, to give others the benefit of doubt... Church is a place where Jesus teaches us to trust Him and to step out in obedience. Others are as messed up, if not more, as us. So, we really shouldn't be surprised that church is just messed up... but we don't want to focus on others and let them disappoint us. We want to focus on Christ who is our hope and our life, and our strength. He will fill us with His grace. He will give us all that we need to become the beautiful bride of Christ.
Please don't give up on the church. I know it's not easy. I am fully aware of all the issues there. I've seen and had my share of struggles in church, but the Bible says that the church is a body of Christ. And we all have our roles. We are all different and have different functions. I'm sure it can't be fun for the eye to hang out with the toes, or the nose to hang out with the stomach. Yet, the body needs each and every one of these parts of the body to function & grow healthy. So I just want to say, please don't give up.
You are beautiful and you are loved!
