Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

I do not enjoy eating food.
For many years I ate poultry like chicken, beef, turkey, eggs, fish...yes I had a good diet and I was lucky for that.
But over the years I can't stand eating any of the above. Eating a full meal sounds gross and I don't enjoy or appreciate a cooked meal anymore. Eating feels like a chore.
I'm 4'11" and now weigh 82lbs and never gain back the weight. My ferritin levels drop constantly and struggle to find other ways to gain my protein due to my lack of trying. Even though I was tested for a possible eating disorder I am safe, for now...
My Dr suggests eating small throughout the day. Eating snacks when you're working and avoid large portions. I've been doing that for the last two months and I find this more comfortable than overeating which was a problem for me because it happens before I can put my fork down and say I can't stomach the rest. I could eat a granola bar and I'd be fine for the rest of the day. Sad.
It's hard to get back to a normal routine when you've become comfortable with a habit that is probably doing more harm than good.
Does anyone else struggle with food?

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

Hope the dog days of summer aren't getting you down!
