Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I’m so sorry you feel empty. Have you tried to volunteer? According to research, it helps someone to see his purpose in life. When you help, you are making a difference in someone’ s life. Try to connect with your community or local church for some opportunities.
My sister used to be so sad because she was going through a tough time. She looks hopeless and has no motivation to go on. She decided to have dogs. Now every morning she’s excited to wake up because she has dogs to take care of. If you love to take care of animals, try to get a pet. I hope it will work for you.
When my son left for college, I felt so empty. I have a life group that I meet once a week. It feels good to have someone praying and uplifting us especially when going through difficulty. Try to join a support group that you can meet in person. It will help you to feel less lonely and not alone. Please keep sharing, we are here for you. I hope you will feel better soon. May God’s peace and comfort be upon you.
I always hear of things to help: force yourself out of bed, read jokes or watch comedy until you laugh to start your day, shower and clean up. Sometimes helps. Just remember, you are not even close to alone in this.
