Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I'm sorry you're hurting so much. Have you talked to a doctor? Are you on meds?
You can get help to feel a little better. Just reach out for it. Big Hugs
She will pull you out of every gloom and doom.
I read your post with much sadness, because believe me,I do know how you feel.Today,I suffer from COPD/Emphysema and psychotic depression. There have been many times since I was diagnosed where I have longed for the stillness and the peace of death, today I think of how that would affect my wife,my children and my grandchildren. That doesn't mean that dark thoughts don't happen for me today,it just means that I think of those I would leave behind, this group has been wonderful for me,it gives me a place to come when I feel bad, which is often, but sometimes just giving someone in trouble, like yourself, the chance to talk to someone they know is listening can help enormously.I'm deaf, but I'm listening to you my friend, stay strong and trust in God,have a blessed and peaceful day,
Gentle Hugs,
Scott.
