Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Do you take meds for anything? Do you have a physical illness too? These things all have an effect on your mood. I'm diabetic and have been sick for a long time (getting better ) but the illness makes me a raving bitch and I can't always help it. Just a thought. Remember the good things about yourself, and pat yourself on the back for those things. Hugs.
How does your wife feel about that?
If you really have issues then you need to find out what they are and start dealing with them. As you said you're 'slowly starting to agree'; in other words things'll just get worse and worse. You may need to see a therapist.
Most of your post indicates a very high quality person. You do a hell of a lot for a hell of a lot of people.
Many, many people including me would be devastated if you ever harmed yourself.
I STRONGLY advise you to seek marriage counseling ... even if it is just you at first. A professional needs to know what you are going through and help you. That which you describe is not something a person could work out ... all on their own. It is all way too subjective for that.
Get yourself some pro help, my man. You don't deserve this much negativity ... and to be clear, ... I am not sure YOU are the problem .... but I am not a pro either.
