Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Its mature people that aren't sarcastic and are able to keep a level head and not argue.
Think about what she said, maybe some truth in it. You said your take things out on others..... Turn it around, it would be hard to take from someone else.
Maybe the friendship is over, maybe not. You have a chance to set it right. Look boldly at yourself, and try to become a better person.
Don't worry about rambling here. We vent, talk and ramble on. Its part of our therapy. Try to relax a bit. Don't dwell on the fight or problems. Tomorrow is new and you can make it a better day.
Anyway, I commend you for working on yourself. Don't give up. Sometimes it DOES feel like you aren't making any progress. But you are. You learn more from the bad experiences in life than from the good. Look at all of this like a college course. Buy a journal. Write down everything. What happens, how you feel, how you reacted, how you wish you would have reacted. In time, you will see progress and improvement.
I have learned a lot from self help books. Right now I am reading Anxious for Nothing by Max Lucado. I think you would enjoy it
