Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

On your children, was there any issue with the father? Are they estrangled because of some incident in their past? Also, you can call also. Waiting by the phone for it to ring is a lonely road. Can you give them a call? What would it hurt? They are only calling you twice a year now. So it can't get much worse.
Can you join any activities there at your appt. Bingo or sewing or some sort of walking group. Getting out and getting to known some of the residents will help. And you have little to loose right now with not knowing anyone. It will be tough to go in cold but you might find something you love.
Tell us how to goes and more about yourself. This is a friendly group and very supportive.
Sorry you feel alone and neglected by your family. I know how hard that can be, especially if you also do not like where you live. However, you are loved. God does have a plan for us and even though we do not see it he always loves us. This blog is one of the places you can be provided with support and someone to talk to when needed. However, the best place in my opinion is a Bible driven church. Do you go to church? Finding a church that works for you not only provides you with activities you can do with others, but also there is so much love and support there. I have seen it change lives of individuals and families as you invest time in church and with the Lord. The church becomes an extension of your biological family. I truly pray for you to be connect with others for friendship, peace and joy in your heart, the rebuilding of your family unit, and the closeness and love God can provide to you.
I am glad to hear about the impending move towards Buffalo. It is a chance to break out of your 'prison' so to speak. Only problem is ... the same problem you have now. This situation will follow you to the next one if something doesn't change. I suggest you address the mental health profession for the anxiety complex.
