Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I have dealt with it too. It is an ongoing battle that you have take one step at a time. The best way I had found to deal with depression is to face it head on, get involved in a support group, let your leader and others help you find a way to reach out and get involved in the community. ( Serve at the Rescue Mission, Boys and Girls Club, a local Nursing Home, Children's Hospital, coach a sport for kids, volunteer at the local elementary school, go to the animal shelter and volunteer to walk and care for the animals there, Bake some cookies for an elderly neighbor...Start up an book group at your place or join a club at the local library. Take an evening class at the local Community College, get involved in a church, get a gym membership and go work out...) Find some way to get involved in your community and strive forward to reach your goal as if you are running to win the race.
I will pray for you! I know that struggle is very difficult to move forward and not look back. Focus on what is ahead. ...Pray and keep praying! We all here, know that you have a great purpose and that you are loved!
