Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
No one likes the idea of having a mental health struggle, but the truth is that most people have struggles that they don't talk about. And luckily, all people who work in the health and mental health fields are not allowed to talk about who they see or why they are seeing them, so things you don't want to talk about with others will never be released or discussed.
There is something called passive suicidal thoughts that include things like avoiding living, so it is just as scary to me that you are feeling that way ... just as much as if you said you were making a plan to die... because you are making plans to avoid life.
Please - I am not saying talk to a medical professional. Of course I would love you to, but you may not feel ready for that, but I want you to talk to someone. I think sometimes it is easier to talk to someone you know can't say anything to anyone like a medical professional, but find someone you trust and talk to them about how you feel so they can help you make plans to get better and be accountable in following through with those plans to get better.
Hope this helps.
