Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
It's late so I maybe shouldn't respond. With that in mind, I have to say I find your post slightly confusing.
I personally think it is unrealistic to expect all of your friends to care as deeply for you as your family and close friends.
In fact I would go so far as to suguest that having two close friends, a family that cares and a bunch of casual friends puts you way ahead of the curve.
I can relate to, what sounds like, unrealistic expectations, to me anyway. I tend to expect everyone to stop and turn when I speak. I think that is my way of avoiding cultivating the close friends I have.
I hope I am not judging your situation by my reality, it's just that your post sounds a lot like what I think, often.
So just remember that in your down days. That people do love you and some people would be destroyed if you were not there.
