Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I just saw the support group and realize maybe that's what I have. I can't eat my stomach is in knots all I do is cry. sometimes I leave my office almost running just to get outside and walk and let the tears fall. This divorce has me feeling like a failure. My husband said he had to go find himself...... and fix what's been broken. He's been depressed since his mother died 3 years ago. Diabetes has made him impotent and he hasn't touched me in 3 years. I've done all I can do as a wife and I stayed when I wanted to leave. I cried myself to sleep night after night week after week month after month. I slept in my car I've begged and pleaded and he had the nerve to walk out on me. Honestly I don't even think I liked them much anymore in the last couple years I stayed because I said I would and then he just text me and left. I don't know why I'm so hurt it's almost a relief but I just can't seem to keep it together. I'm down 17 pounds which is probably a good thing but my stomach is in knots my head hurts I can't sleep I can't eat it's affecting my work and I'm terrified of the amount of debt he left me in. One second I'm up one second I'm down one second I'm crying one second I'm making plans for the rest of my life. What's wrong with me...

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

There is this thing called Divine Providence which is when God allows something bad to happen to bring about a greater good. This has occured many times in my life. One of them was when my wife divorced me which was a very rough time, but we had many problems. That was 4 years ago, but today, I am happier then I have ever been!
Love yourself and be kind to yourself. If you can do that then I really believe the rest will take care of itself.
God Bless
Not eating - I lost about 10kg. No eat, no sleep. Sheer terror about financial situation.
But one thing by one thing stuff comes right. Try to force food down though, because you can break the anxiety cycle by eating. There's something about the not eating cycle that makes it perpetuate itself. Great for losing weight, bad for the whole no sleep, giant mess thing.
It is like anxiety, but when you have anxiety disorder it hasn't been caused by a giant cause like marital breakup.
let yourself be wibbly wobbly, let yourself be emotionally all over the place - buy yourself time if you need it to settle somewhere in the centre. All the best. I know what you're going through and it's awful.
Time is your friend. :)
Little things can add up, and at some point you will feel like you have regained some of the control you are looking for.
Gentle hugs
