Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
your experiencing chemical dysfunction and like everyone else
cause its common... you dont have the tools to realize this and your looking outside of yourself as to the reason why...
doing this you unknowingly jade your view of the world ...
it doesn't work like that ...
whats the answer to the problem...
acceptance that you have what many others have and are not alone is part of it ...
learning to separate the facts from the created fiction of the world and your life sucks is another...
we have to fess up to the facts... and work from there...
recreating a separate reality based on how you feel and where you allow your mind to go to makes false excuses will only make it worse
and at that point it just feeds on itself ...
its physical and mental ...
i remember a 1970s bw comic book, in which somebody kills themself, only to wind up, again, being brought back to life, with amnesia of killing themself with 'death" telling the poor person that it 'amuses" itself to see the person live and suffer.
my truth is that my local mental health clinic likes to give out meds---while assembly line treating mostly petty criminals who are given them from the court.
i'm surrounded by cold hearted drunks, addicts, thieves, with me holding up best i could, without relatives/friends/money.
in 2006, a caseworker was no help with a dying cat, and then he shows up a few days after i got stuck putting my cat to sleep by myself----with a big smile on his face, as though meds solve everything. It felt good for me to curse him out, though through my ajar door.
A few minutes ago, thankfully, a woman in the nearby 5 & 10 (i dont have a car to leave town) told me her cat lived to be 25 years old, my cat 19---so meeting a rare nice person with nice thing to say in this redneck town helped me a lot better than past meds ever did. All i have are my 2 cats---which is maybe depressing.
i have been trying some catnip tea, after somebody on this site told me of it; the catnip tea knocked me out last night.
Catnip tea as meds, and the hope of my cat living a few more years---maybe more calm before some storm, but, again, good enough for now.
