You could talk to you're closest friend about it. That's what I used to do. I know I can't help much but you can talk to me. What got you feeling that way?

The love of my life has just completely walked out of my life. It makes me feel like I'm not good enough. Completely out of the blue she just got up and left. I don't have a closest friend that I can open up to.

Talk to your friends. If your coworkers are your friends and you don't feel comfortable explaining just tell them you are going through something. You're not alone.

They understand I'm going through a tough time but because of the nature of the business I work in it's hard to take time out and chat. Just kinda feel like I'm drowning at the moment

Tom you are a worthwhile person. Sometimes we can see the reason some things happen, and other times we will NEVER know. If your girlfriend just decided to up and leave you and you didn't get any signs beforehand that she was going to do it, you have to accept that she had her reasons. And you may never find out why. What you have to do is take a look around you and appreciate what you have, which I bet is A LOT! make a list of positive things, don't focus on anything negative. List at least 5 things, right now, that are good. Do you like your job? Do you have a roof over your head? think about what a good person you are. Daily Strength offers you an outlet and people who understand and will listen to you. BUT one other question, do you have a counselor or a therapist that you can talk to?

Why would you be mad at yourself if this girl unreasonably just left without even a fair explanation. It sounds like she has crap going on in her life.

My wife left me with no warning, and there was nothing I could do about it But hating myself wasn't an option. SHE was the one that destroyed our marriage, not me. I prayed allot about it, and God showed me that life goes on. And, punishing myself for what my ex did was just plain wrong.
Every day is a gift given by God because he loves us. Right now, its Christmas time. Christmas is hope. God sent his son into the world because he loves us that much. Self hatred clouds up the hope we have with each new day.

Please talk to a trusted friend, family member or mental health care professional. If where you work offer Employee Assistance Program (EAP) you get 8 free counseling session per calendar year. Also don't leave out the power of prayer: "Throw all your anxiety on God, because he cares for you" 1 Peter 5:7

I can understand where sharing can be very difficult - especially with those you know and love. What can’t you bring up to them? Don’t keep yourself in the dark, don’t seclude yourself, everyone falls down, everyone needs a hand up at some point in their life. You never know, one of your colleagues may be going through the exact same thing as you! If you’re referring to depression, I used to work in law enforcement, a place where depression is an incredible liability, regardless, I had to get help and I did. Do you have a pastor or someone outside of your ‘normal’ social group to help? Does your work have an EAP benefit? Employee assistance program; usually they offer limited benefits, but it’d be a start. What do you think?
