Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Been trying, mostly alone, to rescue a cat that lowlife neighbors legally abandoned.
A depressing and lonely episode for me, cause cats freezing or starving to death is a non-event in my rural, hillbilly, redneck, inbred, ghetto.
Lots of crimes/sins seem to be non-events, if you're friends of,or related to, most of the people in this area.
Back in 2006, the petty criminal living in a converted garage in back of me, set the place on fire when he was evicted; everyone knows he did it, but nothing done about it, with him even showing up drunk months later to watch the adjacent fire damaged place be fixed---from my landlord's yard. I finally called the cops when it looked like he was ready to pass out---one of his friends yelled at ME about that. There's lots of similar stories from my neighborhood.
Drug dealing, drunk driving, beating up you girlfriend, stealing, abandoning a cat to freeze or starve----all non-events in my rural, redneck, ghetto. It certainly is depressing, for me.

Tomorrow, try again with agencies to rescue abandoned cat, then its long wait for Monday.
shoveled the snow from my 2nd floor kitchen window to empty flop house where cats seek shelter, to eventually feed them when they show up.
