Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

you cant change it. you cant go back.
so why do it? Go forth from this day, envisioning it a new life, new start, a do over if you like.
The past is there to remember, and learn from. Not to rule your today.
:)
I've said it before here, and I'll say it again: Accept the present. No need for regrets. What can you change about the past? Nothing. Today is most important day of your life!!
Please try to have a good day!
if it is in the past, it IS gone. Sure it will try to upset you and come back to haunt, etc....but you are powerful.
Daisy: For some of us, letting go of the past or just of current tormenting thoughts (OCD) is not always that simple or easy,,,,,it takes work,,,,,,took me a loooooong time to improve,,,,,,but definitely worth it,,,,,,,
if it was that easy, who would need shrinks, support groups, meds, bt/cbt, psychotherapy, relaxation techniques, etc,,,,,,
We have the power right inside our heads.
aside from actual degeneration of brain tissue itself...tumors, etc.....
And OF COURSE it's not simple. It's a hell of a lot harder than talking to a therapist or taking a pill.
Support groups...a good thing....whether it is official, or a group of true friends or family.
relaxation techniques...no doc needed for that.
We need to start realizing that only WE have say over what goes on inside our skulls.
psych docs....used to have to have skills and be in hospitals and helped those who were severely brain injured or insane.....one on one, and long term care....
Now all they do is write out an Rx, and send you to a "therapist" who might be of some use, or might not.
A foray into the psych industry as a patient is a crap shoot.
sometimes it takes multiple flips.....watching that switch, (diligence!) making sure it stays up....catching it when it starts to go back down.....or even holding it up manually for a while.
we do indeed, all have that power.
