Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
First of all life is more than just GPA's and keeping people around you happy. School will end and you will then move on with another phase in your life. Know that you are the decision maker of your life, you have power to do anything with your life. Make a list of beliefs and morals you want to stand by. Make a creed for yourself and make a ritual that will make this important for you. Learn about yourself, about your past and your parents' parents and their parents before them. Learn their struggles and the struggles of your people what ever they may be and know that their willingness to keep going is what created you. You will see and feel very confident and proud when you find your history. Write it down somewhere, keep a box of things that define you. Your first dollar, your first shoes if your parents have them, a picture of you as a child, anything that is important to you, put it in that box with your creed and every day come and reflect on this box, on who YOU are. Be strong and know that life is a challenge, there are ups and downs and in betweens but Phil is who decides who Phil is. Call yourself by your full name. Phillip.
