Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

Restful has the right idea. Set goals that are reachable. Then, once they are reached, another goal can be done.
I, myself, have issues just getting out of bed sometimes. Then, getting my teeth brushed, well, I have learned to do that for myself, not to make others glad they don't have to smell my bad breath. Then, I have a routine from there...Treat myself to a facial... getting past that can be an effort...Then, treating myself to coffee...Another goal done! Then, my morning med routine....Some really boaring things of you think about it. But, it helps get me motivated in the morning. Simple, easy goals! This sets the mood for the rest of my day. When I skip any part of this (and I do) my day can be very different.
Just my opinion!
I will say this that the above paragraph lasted about 4 years, i think. I went down and went down hard, offff....BUT I am here living battle scared by what ever the hell happened to me and I see life differently. Sure it is the same but I don't see it the same. I don't see the hope in the world anymore, don't see a way to make life easier; all I see is one day at a time, one step at a time.
Gone is the songs in my head I used to sing. Replaced by the "So f it." BUT, as many ppl who wreck in front of my house I am still very functional in helping. I guess what I am getting at is my don't give a shit attitude is my coping with this depression, and yes, yes sometimes the tears flow for no apparent reason....got me on that one.
I'm rambling now but I just want to say that it does get better...yeah what ever better is....I guess one just learns to cope with it/depression.
