Coming up on November 14th, my oldest daughter is getting married !
I am finding this a trying time for me. Her Father died a little over a
year ago, so she has chosen her Grand Daddy to give her away.
I understand that there will be pictures sitting around at the wedding of
her Father. There are also prayers that will be spoke as well at this
event as well .
I'm feeling as if I'm attending another funeral, versus a happy moment
of my daughter's wedding. I am literally tore up inside knowing my
daughter's Father is not there to walk her down the aisle.
My crying has picked up lately. I know I'll cry at the wedding as well.
How can I attend without embarrassing my daughter? My tears will
be there!

It's her day and it's a mothers duty to cry at a wedding.
I hope her grand fther does a grand job of being the man who gives your daughter to a man that loves her as much as you love your husband
I think it is wonderful that your daughter is including her father the only way she knows how!
Congrats on the wedding. My anniv is Nov 15.
When my daughter got married 6 yrs ago, her father (sperm donor) wasnt invited. My hubby now gave her away. I know its not the same & i am very sorry.
Cry if u want to, nothing wrong w it. Mom of the bride always cries.
