ok, so starbuck's has been giving away free coffee today due to election day in the US. i saw this posted on the internet about someone's experience. i am not really posting this about starbuck's at all, but rather the asinine and rude comment one of the employees said:

"Today I had my first unpleasant experience at Starbucks. I went to the store on Parmer/McNeil - Austin, TX and while waiting for my drink, I over heard the young woman making my drink tell her co-worker that Obama is technically ineligible to run for president because he was born in Africa. I politely said, "Excuse me, I am sorry to interrupt, but he was born in Hawaii." As the young woman handed me my drink she said "I know a lot about this, I worked on the Ron Paul campaign. He was born in Africa." - I have no problem hearing staff criticize any of the candidates, but I was shocked to hear something so willfully ignorant."

i don't care if you support obama, nadar, ron paul, mccain, whoe ever..... this was just a dumb comment - and the fact she acts like a know-it-all about it would have made me slap her if i were there. i am pretty sure the US government is aware of where a candidate for presidency was born - considering it is one of the guidelines.... idiot!
