Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Keep pushing on and when it's gets so hard like it is now, just remember you can only control what you can control. You just have to keep trying, keep pushing and cut out everything in your life that you don't absolutely need (cable for example), until the money situation irons itself out. Hang tight. It can and will get better...you will get through it and come out on the other side. And make sure everyone you know, knows that you are looking for work. Sometimes the best route to get a job anymore is through your connections. Best of luck.
Oh, and the wasting your life thing? Nah. We can always start over. There is no rule book in that sense. We all have a point and purpose, I believe. You just have to find yours and grab a hold of it.
Fixate and obsess on what you know your talents are. Then do that, and talk about that. That's the best antidote to money stress.
Usually, just identify "what are my talents" greatly enhances any job search and interview process. Also, I've found that, if you enjoy TALKING about something, you'll enjoy doing it. Guess what you have to do in job interviews? Talk about your talents!
Given the proper relaxation mindset, free of worry, what do you ENJOY talking about?
Me, I like talking about movies, the story/writing, the acting, the technical/audio/visual. Trying to turn THAT into a career lol...it's difficult, but I keep chatting it up. Got some Facebook friends in the TV production industry...may not be movies, but the skillsets are the same. One chap I just chatted up tonight in response to his post about movie sound: Foley and sound-FX artists. I told him "I could make a whole career out of this". Who knows? Might lead to a job...
How much TIME have you got? A little free-lancing on the side, turning some hobby into money?
I don't know if it helps knowing that many people struggle just like you and how weird because that is about the amount that I need to be able to save. I do save each month and put it away so I will have my car insurance, oil changes, etc... but it leaves me with about $20 dollars for the entire month. At least you have your youth to help you get a job. I too have my faith and it seems like when things get worse for me, my faith is even stronger... and then something good happens to me. I don't believe it's luck either. Hang in there and find that faith that you talked about... And let us know when you get your new job, which I believe you will!!

good luck
I did apply to some part time jobs today, I guess I don't expect to actually hear from any of them. Everything just feels so hopeless to me right now.
