I just need to vent, again. I really need to get over myself. It is hard to shake feelings of being alone, I seem to be a little stuck on it lately. In terms of dating, not dating, that is. A long time ago I had a really good relationship, or so I thought, in fact, it was so wonderful in so many ways, nothing has ever compared or worked out since. I sometimes wonder if I ever made the biggest mistake of my life. Although, one thing he had said to me when we were dating was that he was just looking for a woman to take care of him, to be a sugar mama, while he pursued his dreams. I ended up breaking up with him as that didn't sound so good to me. I couldn't be sure if he really loved me or if there was the potential for him to just use me up and spit me out. Once in a great while I would look on his FB page just to see how he was, it always made me feel better to see him doing well, in his new marriage and with his career, left a good feeling in my heart. I looked lately, and either he took it down or he block ed me. I can't assume, we never corresponded or spoke, like in the past five years, so it's not like I was bothering him... but it made me feel sad. There would be no reason for him to block me out, but it was like a piece of the past that I could go to and think, "what a wonderful time that was, very special," and it would somehow make me happy. I was dismayed to find out that he no longer had a presence there. But he did succeed and is really good with music, so I can listen to his music via the web, and it's like a piece of him, he used to play really well. I need to settle once and for all that maybe I didn't make the biggest mistake of my life, but I have a hard time with that.

It sounds like when you two were dating, there came a point where it became clear that you weren't looking for the same things in the long-term. You were true to yourself when you broke things off. I hope you can find peace in your decision soon, Orion. Good luck ((hugs))
