I was trying to avoid the meds but I have decided on the advice of my Doc to try them.
So here I am with a prescription for Zoloft at a low dose.
I have read on here that Welbutrin helps avoid the dreaded loss of libido.

I am worried about this as my husband has had affairs in his past due to not getting sex with his partner! This pressure doesn't help but I sure don't need this worry too so Im wondering if I add some Wellbutrin it will help me..anyone tried this?!

I take Wellbutrin and it really helps with depression with no sexual side
effects. It might help a little with the loss of libido, etc from the ssri but
I wouldn't count on too much. The SSRIs made me almost inorgasmic,
so Im glad its Wellbutrin only for me. It is commonly used in addition to
an SSRI, so it wouldn't hurt to try if your doc agrees.

OK thanks. In the UK they won't prescribe Wellbutrin as an anti-depressant as it is listed as an anti-smoking med so can only be prescribed for a short time. Its bonkers. I have bought it privately but have no idea what dose I should go for.

I was on zoloft for about 7 years and didn't have any loss of libido. It worked well for me in that time. The only side effect was feeling good :-)

OK so I am on Zoloft now, but whats with the in-orgasmic side-effect?!!!
Im almost numb from the waist down!
No loss of libido though so really frustrating!!

Although I would rather feel nothing down there than want to die

any tips what to try?!

I was on Zoloft for awhile (a year?) and it saved my life. Sex was out though. I didn't care (about anything - sex included). When I tried I'd get terrible headaches. I guess it raised my blood pressure and I could feel the blood pumping up the right side of my head. The pain was something awful.

Another warning about Zoloft is the weight gain. I read about it and because it didn't happen right away, I ignored the warnings. After about six months I blew up like a plump balloon. And as I was taking Zoloft, I didn't care. I just got bigger and bigger. When I ran out of fat clothes (again) I realised I had to do something so I quit. I started on Wellbutrin this morning.

I can't believe I did that - I hate being fat!

Many people take Wellbutrin with Zoloft to get back into having a sex life and lose weight. After the headaches I know it wouldn't work for the sex part for me. I'll let you know if the Wellbutrin does any better.

I tried Zoloft and I gained 20 lbs right away. I am sure I was less anxious but all I wanted to do was eat and sleep. I switched to Citalopram and it was better. Still working to get that weight off... Wellbutrin did nothing for me.

I just started zoloft about 2 weeks ago. I can't tolerate it so I'm not going to take it anymore . Its given me constant nausea, diarrhoea and pain. Prozac did exactly the same thing
