Hey everyone I could use some help with something. I am trying to find a good combination to help controll my depression. The p-doc has tried paxil and effexor and these have the same sexual side effect..... With out getting to detailed or gross here is the problem When it comes to sex i can start but i cant finish. I am looking for advice on what medications for depression everyone has taken and how well they have worked including adverse sexual side effects. I hoping to make an educated decision once i hear back.

those side effects suck...if you are a man or a woman.

what about celexa?

personally, i take prozac....its my wonder drug.

I've never tried prozac or celexa. I've been kind of against the idea of prozac because a few of my distant relatives have taken prozec and went nutz on it. Needless to say im trying to avoid that. Actually I did some research on webmd and found 3 different meds to choose from that may help me. Prozac, Celexa, And Pristiq. I want to do some additional research on all three to see which one has the best possibility to work for me.

the only time i have ever went off my rocker on prozac was when i enjoyed too many shots of whiskey!

I am on 10MG of celeza and have had some trouble but not bad. I think my mood may also contribute to these occassions. Lexapro killed my drive completely which is funny because it is know to have fewer side effects.

Wellbutrin was the best and had NO side effects for me but over time did not much for my depression.

I think the bottom line is we are all different and what happens to me may not happen to you.

Sorry i was not more help but this was my experience.

I just found out some news about prozac, pristiq and celexa ..... they have some pretty nasty sexual side effects

well after doing a lotta research on the WWW I have decided im just going to take the welbutrin and klonopin ..... ive only been taking that for about 2 weeks and i seem to be doing pretty well with it
