Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
You cuddle on the couch every night? That's sounds nice, but maybe you two need to develop a few outside interests of your own so that you could be more interesting to each other! Every couple needs outside as well as shared interests.
It sounds like you two have an acute case of overexposure to each other. Try to develop some interest other than cuddling on the couch, and see what happens. Start at the local library-I don't know what I'd do without it!
we both work a lot - about 60 hours a week each, so the couch time is what i feel where we try to reconnect after a long day.
:-(
I'm sorry!
i remember my parents talking about the divorce twice when i was a teenager - but they didn't, are still together, and my mother says she has never been happier.
when do you know if you should stop trying or not? i just can't accept that we have such a good thing so let's not bother trying. if our relationship had problems it would be easier to accept.
As for your realtionship, I do not know, I don't have the answer. The two of you do. Have a heart-to-heart, and ask the questions that you don't want to know the answers, such as "Is there someone else?" Start with a serious talk and go from there. There is not going to be a "right time" so I'd just dive in.
my question now (to everyone of course) is that since currently we are "riding it out" how should i act? as if nothing is wrong? give him more space? be more attentive?
I hope that you can work it out with him! Let us know!
