Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Repeating myself, I'm so very sorry this tragedy happened to your family member, I can't imagine what it must be like knowing about it.
I hope your family member is in counseling for this, it's something that
is really needed in the aftermath of such a thing!!!!
Part of what you are feeling sounds like the stages of grief. The first is denial, then anger, followed by bargaining, depression, and finally acceptance. I am assuming that you are angry not only about the situation and the act that your family member committed, but also the change in dynamics that it has caused for your whole family. It would be beneficial for you to talk more about your feelings and how it is affecting you.
