Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

I'm sorry you're going through this. None of us think it will happen to us. Men will come and go and break your heart or you will break theirs. I prefer the latter personally. It sounds like you need to talk to your psychiatrist pronto because either your medicine needs an increase or a change. In the meantime, I recommending EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique). Google "Magnus tapping" and the video should come up. I also use guided meditation apps and I'm amazed by how well they work to get me in a better state of mind.
I used to volunteer at a rehab hospital in the PT department. I had empathy for the patients, but now that I am one and I see people in their 60s moving better than me, it gets me irritated and I feel like a failure because I think, since I'm half their age, I should be out doing them. Logically I know it doesn't work that way but that is the feeling I get sometimes. I know you're probably doing the same thing, comparing yourself to others who don't struggle with your condition. Don't do that. I know, easier said than done. It's something I have to keep working on.
Call your doc tomorrow and see if you can be seen for an emergency visit.
