Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I hope you start to feel better :)

You have to learn not to reach out during an episode into the normie world. Getting through an episode when every instinct tells you to share and reach out and talk... getting through it without action of any kind will show you something nothing else can show.
Write while you are in the episode. Review when you are out of the episode. Learn when you are right and when you are wrong, and how much you are right, and how much you are wrong.
You have to calibrate your system. You have to accept your system, learn it, identify its strengths and weaknesses, and then fine tune it.
Nobody else can do this for you. it's not easy, and those of us who have got through depression are always here to help. But your first place to look is at one of your episodes. How it transpires, and how you feel afterwards.
do you wish, afterwards, that you had reached out during? I bet the answer to that is never. Reaching out escalates the state. you can't feel understood in that state. You can't feel loved. You can only feel anxious, and like you're about to be judged, and like you've just put yourself further into the shit.
If you need to talk during, talk here. We're all past masters at this stuff and we know how seriously to take it. Or talk to a counsellor because same. But do what you can to steer clear of the normies, the people 'in your life' in this state, until the episode is completed and you are back on solid ground.
Three days is all it takes. Three days of telling people you're fine when you're hysterically, suicidally not. Come out the other side and ask: how do I feel about that thing that set me off? How do I feel about it now?
Understand how much of your depression is simply chemical processing that is sucking you in.
