I'm horrified! I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000. I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter. I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change. Now this! I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000. I guess I have to pay...

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
Find peace as I have done and continue to do in God's mighty healing,WORD.
We have no hope in man. But in God, all things are possible. Man will always fail us. That, you can count on.
Put your eyes on God and live for Him. He is worthy of your attentions.
He cares for you and has hope and love for you. You are His child. May you find Him now
You are 18 and have your entire life ahead you. Your emotions do seem real, but unfortunatley they are highly inaccurate and unpredictable.
Take a look at inositol. Its something my daughter is taking (over the counter) and it seems to be helping her keep an even keel.
Stay in touch.

Reaching out and communicating to someone when you're feeling suicidal is the right thing to do, unfortunately not everyone knows how to deal with that information and some can't handle it. There are many Suicide Hotlines where you can talk to someone a more privately while getting the support you need.
Feelings of loss and abandonment can be magnified when your Depression is strong and not being treated. Have you considered going to a Therapist or Psychiatrist for treatment? Severe Depression is not something that just goes away with time nor is it something that can be self-treated successfully. Therapy, medication, relying on yourself to work through things, getting your symptoms under control...these are all ways to get your Depression to a more stable point. I hope that you're able to check into some of them...

And Bridgie101, you act like I chose to feel this way. I obviously didn't. I opened up to the guy about my past with depression and suicidal thoughts, and he told me how proud he was of me and how he would support me through it no matter what. And when I started feeling sad again, he literally just abandoned me again.
because he really doesn't understand depression. Only people who have experienced depression can understand how it makes you feel. Please don't give up. You mentioned you will be seeing your doctor and your therapist in a few weeks. In the meantime continue to talk to us here on this site. We will listen and offer support. If you feel like talking, you can message me.
He is distancing from you in order to condition you to not feel that way or to not talk that way with him? Hah, maybe his idea of solving problems? What a silly kiddo. I would drop him like yesterday's trash. Dispose of the boy, find yourself a decent guy with substance.
So i am sorry you have to deal with these feelings that we never choose and him doing this. I havent read all responses but have you considered therapy to work on this....sending thoughts.
As for your meds, its not always about just a dosage increase, sometimes its about changing to a different anti-depressant....hang in until your Dr. appt and hopefully they'll be able to get you on whatever works better for you.
Take care,
kat
