Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Spring coming is killing me. My joy and love for gardening has been lessened a great deal due to injuries and shoulder surgery the last couple years. What use to take me an hour, now takes 2-3. And the heavy stuff is almost impossible now. I can’t stomp or jump on a spade shovel, to dig holes.
Plus this isn’t going to be my house anymore. So the thrill is gone there. I will do the best I can anyway, cuz that’s just the way I am. Plus it’s gardening.
Too cold today though. Sunny and 40, with a light breeze.
Life is what you make of it. Now I just need my husband to stop trying to make it for me.
Yes I so beyond need to be done.
Lack of communication I believe is a big part of my marriage ending. If he doesn’t say, I can’t know. I don’t know why some men find that to be such a hard concept.
Yeah this has been the worst best year of my life. For all that I have lost, I have also have been gaining, learning, growing and finding myself again. There have been times I didn’t think I would/could make it through all this. I still get them from time to time. Lessons from God are not always easy. And He’s good at giving me the “Gibbs” dope slap every now and again. I fell apart last Friday after a day that included 3 hours of mental psych testing, and 2 hours of travel time. Lots of self doubt. Feeling incredibly lonely, sad, and unlovable. My whole being hurt. God reached out, tapped me on the shoulder and said call someone, remember when you get like this, it’s best if you reach out to some one. Don’t be alone with this. Do it now. I did, right in the middle of sobbing I called my sister (the one I knew would be able to handle me like that) and just started talking where my head had left off. It was the right thing to do. She helped me to be able to calm the overthinking/overwhelming thoughts running through my head. Today she asked me to help her with some yard clean up. That helped too.
I’m still house hunting and still getting the silent treatment, after my putting the lawyers “client information sheets on what to do for divorce/separation” on the kitchen table. I’m getting the silent treatment for accepting and trying to move forward, with what he started and said he wanted last year. And he thinks I’m unstable.
