People focus on the news media witch lies or doesn't post the whole story. Listen to the trile if you want to have an opinion. Only the ignorant believe what is on the news now a days!

I read quote recently, but don't recall where it was from. It said something to the effect of "Liberals say they're open to other opinions, but then are shocked that anyone has other opinions." Liberals are even more hidebound than conservatives. For liberals, no deviation can exist from the accepted points of view on any number of topics.

I remembered part of a quote from President John F. Kennedy, I looked it up to get it right. Here it is:

"Libraries should be open to all - except the censor."

I am not aware of the exact posts you are referring to. One that I believe matches your description still exists; it was closed. I closed it at the request of the OP. (A courtesy that is afforded to all here.)

As for the other I can not say. I do know that when posts are removed it is mostly for a violation of the Rules of the Road and not for the particular political slant. It is perfectly OK to post that you disagree with the decision of a jury. It is not OK to post that the jury got it wrong and so and so should be lynched.


As for off topic posts; some support groups seem to love them, others resent them. No one support group I've had experience with stands united in their opinions about off topic posts!

Drew: I hear you about the media. I remember when the Rodney King verdict came out. There were riots in my city. My parents were traveling outside the US at the time; I sent them word that the family was all OK and that the city was not burning. WHen they got back they told me that the foreign news painted a picture of ALL of Los Angeles burning. Sigh, if it bleeds it leads.

What people don't get is that the powers that be want us to fight each other, and that's the truth.

Just remember--the big people want both liberals and conservatives to fight and they love that crap.

In the end, it isn't all about justice, friends--it is about who can make money and who can have the most power.

The tragedies of what his happening in this world are sad--on both sides of the isle.....let me tell you.

What we do is to stay steady and not to let these things get us to react. You can always sign a petition or write a letter to the president or what have you. BUT remember--THEY THEY THEY WANT US TO FIGHT!! THEY WANT US TO BE DIVIDED!!!

Don't let these big people control us as a nation. Don't let them upset you and make you sick.

Speak common sense to people and try not to let any faction that you don't agree with get to you.

People I know don't bother reading, or forming their own opinions. They simply parrot whatever they hear on the idiot box. When I oppose the war in Afghanistan I get called a "lib", then when I say I have a right to own a gun and a right to defend myself the liberals call me a damn "conservative".

It's all the same to the imperialists in Washington. The powerful feed ideology to the masses like fast food dhole they dine on that most rarefied delicacy; impunity.

maybe if the liberal media, which is 99 percent white, would actually hire more african-americans, they wouldn't have to reduce themselves to such race baiting news, which seems to stop minorites from protesting outside the ny times and other phoney, mostly white, news orgnaizations.

yes, an athiest semi-conservative...i've even read articles that most republican politicians are secretly non-believers too, but churches are good places for politicians to meet voters, make business contacts, and even meet some hot chicks.;)
