Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I take my medication religiously. I see my psychiatrist every 90 days. I stay very busy. No time for depression.
Therapy is helpful, and I also attend a support group that is helpful.
I break every task down into very small steps.
Joining an online support group is the first step, sometimes we don't have the motivation but I tell me self take it one day at a time. It is good that you are making small goals, maybe you can add a check list daily that may help from things become too much. I was on pills but I didn't feel it helped. Holding yourself accountable may be too much but when it comes to working out, you may want to find a work out buddy so you don't feel alone. Take it one day at a time, one doesn't feel better over night.
Other than that, journaling also works for me well. And Jesus - He is my very best friend, the only One who will never leave me and is always willing to listen! I am praying for you, my friend, You know what you need to do and the true motivation needs to come from within, so dig deep and go for it!
