I got the news today that my Grandmas Biopsy was positive for cancer cells and this was only one biopsy that she needed to have done. I try to help as much as possible when I can on this board but I dont want to come across as angry and negative in my post because this is affecting me a lot so i may not respond to post at all for some time as I may not be of much help. She is the only grandparent i have left and I have been very close to her so this is hitting me fairly hard even though I was prepared a bit for it. i do try to remain hopeful as she starts radiation treatment but I really hate that she has to go through this. She is a lucky lady to have you for a granddaughter. I hope like WV that she goes into full remission. You and her both are in my thoughts and prayers.

Sweety, go be with your Grama, she needs you. We will be just fine until you get back. Please give her our well wishes and I will keep her in my prayers. Breast Cancer runs in all the women in my family so I'm just waiting until when, not if. She is going to be okay, I just know it. You showing her that you are there for her, means more then you will ever know. We are ALWAYS here to listen hon and we will always care. Hugs GramyBear

Ty. She is a very courageous and tough lady. I am hoping of all hopes that her "stubborness" (I say that with love) is equal or greater than that of that which she is dealing with at this time :-).

You be with your grandma as much as you are able. It is So good of you to care like you do.

I hope I can encourage you. It sounds like they got the cancer early.
I don't know how old your grandma is.

My mother had breast cancer a couple of years back. Age 78. She had a biopsy and then the lump removed as it was cancerous.
She then went for radiation treatment and had to take pills too. They caught it at it's early stages. No chemotherapy needed.
She is still doing well and cancer free 2 yrs on.

The radiation treatment can cause mood swings and not pleasant feelings but it's temporary and will go away once the treatment is over.
So be prepared for possible moods. It may not happen and there again it might. Just letting you know. Ok.

I think your grandma is going to do just fine and recover well. It's amazing what can be done now for cancer.
And with you supporting and loving your grandma it is going to really help.

ty you so much for the support. I live @ least 18 hours away from her so I do not really get to see her very often but I will be able to go to her at some point :-).
