Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

Detachment is possible but not as you say, in a positive way, to not be identified with the emotions that arise spontaneously.
There is a journey to what you say.
Please watch Mooji on YouTube. He can clarify what you want in a positive fresh way. I promise you will have a, he put words to something I could feel just didn't know how to articulate.
It is very normal to feel numb and useless now a days. Society and the system humans have created is very draining and without end. But there are also little gaps and glitches in this society we live in, find something you love, envelop yourself in it, cry if you need to, scream, go out and do something you wouldn't usually do. Talk to a stranger. Invite an old person to coffee and talk to them. Do something to make you feel alive. If the day is cloudy what the hell does that have to do with you? You got Joo Joo Juice inside your heart. Also there is no such thing as feeling infinite sadness if you take it one day at a time. If you think that this sadness will last 100 years it will be overwhelming and hard to control. If you realize that you only have to deal with it today then it will be more manageable. One day at a time and live today, do not look at the future as horrifying, you don't know what the future holds. Stay strong and know you have worth. It is a challenge to find that worth but it is your own inner adventure, your own quest, to do battle like a heroine of tales.
MIght be worth considering talking to a counsellor or a therapist as vocalising your emotions and thoughts not only help to slow down racing thoughts but it will help you to see things in a new perspective with the help of a neutral party. And we are here to listen and journey with you. Keeping the writing coming in so that we can continue to support you one way or another. May God's peace be with you. Praying for you.
