Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
How about Stumbleupon.com? Looking at various websites that you're interested in ... or video games? Online games that are free ...
How about a good movie on TV? Exercise, as cb89 suggested, is a good anxiety reliever. Or housecleaning ... sometimes just cleaning out a cupboard or some drawers can be a good distraction.
Reading posts here and answering them can be a good distraction sometimes. Or, do you have anybody you could call? Not necessarily to talk about yourself, but to see what's going on with them ... maybe that would be helpful.
How about making lists of positive things? Like, all the things you're grateful for, or all the things you're good at, or all your good memories.
Sometimes a nice hot shower is good for anxiety -- it helps relax all those tense muscles.
Do you like to cook -- do you have energy for that? Maybe try out a new recipe.
I hope you feel better soon ... and if not, we're still here to talk to! :)
