Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
There has to be something on there that you'll like.
If you FEEL like crying then do it if you can. Tears are healing. I understand that sometimes the sadness is there but no tears will come. I get that too.
My husband works away. I know how it is.
Also understand about not working. I don't currently work. I wish I could. Too many reasons why I don't right now.
I have GAD. Anxiety disorder. I am managing it better but I so understand how it gets.
Find things if you can to keep occupied. I agree with Kelly007. Are you creative? Or maybe explore creative things like art.
Coloring. There are free coloring pages you can find online. Print off a sheet and get some pens out. There are cool designs. Mandalas.
Yesterday I played Mahjong on my computer. I forgot I had it.
It's very calming. I totally forgot about the stressful. Morning I had. And I actually cleared the game. Cool.
How about the radio? I like the local radio stations. Sometimes it makes me feel I'm not so alone. You hear the discussions on talk shows and sometimes the DJ's say some funny things on the radio.
Certain music helps, sometimes not.
