Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Some of you know that my son Josh battled cancer last year for about six months. He made a full recovery and is enjoying life. The hospital he was treated at, Riley's, has a prom every spring for the patients and their families. Josh missed it last year as he was getting treatment at another hospital, but this past friday night we went. We joined up with his hospital buddy, Kerry who looked beautiful.
