To never fully get over the death of a pet..?
Serioualy.. I just sat here and cried for a full 20 minutes over my dog that died almost two years ago.. Its not fun =/

i have done it too. there are two dogs and one cat in particular that i will still sniffle over. i think it is normal. we love them to bits! it is hard to lose any member of our families no matter how long ago or how furry. i am sorry it still hurts hun! hugs!

if it makes you feel any better too.....when my angel that i have now goes....they will prolly have to sedate me. she is my life! even my hubby knows the kitty rates higher than him or me!

oh i know! but if you loved them that much then you know you gave them a happy life! it still sucks and i am sorry it hurts now.

i know. but i guess one of the main things is that we've had him since i was born..so we grew..*sniffles* up together..and =/

I always hang on to the rainbow bridge. When my dog died, I was asleep and I had a dream that all of the pets I had ever had, even ones I had forgotten, helped him up into the tree where they all were. Then the phone rang and it was the news that he passed away. I cried for six months, I feel that people really bond with pets, it is ok to greive when they pass on. It does help to know that they are waiting for us.

i had an english teacher who while in class recieved a phone call and imediatly ran out of the class, we all thought one of his relatives passed but to find out it was his dog, i felt so bad that i got him a sympathy card, everyone else was real cold though and even made fun of him.

I think animals have a special, even spiritual bond with humans. Your pain will lessen, but you will never forget how much your pet meant in your life.

I have a lot of trouble with coping with my dog's death & he died nearly 5 years ago but I still miss him like mad
