So... all freaking week all everyone's been talking about, and all the papers have been writing about, is Tiger Woods banging some chick.

I don't care.

I don't know the guy. I have no personal stake in his private life. So simply put, I just don't give a f*** who he f***s.

What I wanna know is why people give a crap?

Yeah, I get it.. cheating isn't right. But he's not the only person on earth that's ever cheated on their spouse. He isn't the first and he won't be the last. But you don't hear everyone running around going "OMG! Did you hear! Some chick down in Arizona cheated on her husband!" Yeah.. no.. cuz no one cares.... except her husband and their inner circle.

Why do people care so bloody much about what celebrities do?

Why do more people know the name of the woman Tiger Woods was banging on the side than the name of their own Secretary of State?

Why do people care when Britney Spears shaves her head or when Prince William takes a shit?

Why does everyone seem to be obsessed with Lindsay Lohan's party habits and Paris Hilton's sex life?

I genuinely DON'T GIVE A RATS ASS about any of these people. I've never met any of them, probably never will, and I couldn't care less if they cheat on their husbands and wives, get herpes, or eat a bad burger and contract ecoli. So why should I have to read all this crap in the newspapers and on "news" websites when all I really want to know is what the city is doing about our snow removal problems, whether or not the budget will be changed again, and if my neighbours to the South will ever have health care? Obviously, because most people eat this crap right up.

What I wanna know is... why?
