Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

Seek help with a therapist and psychiatrist if you haven't already. And no matter how long it takes, take the time to get well so you can work or go to school or do whatever you need to do to move out of your parent's home. But get your condition under control first as best you can. Working or going to school with depression unchecked is like dragging and anvel up a mountain. There's nothing wrong with you.
On a side note you could put pamphlets and other materials about depression to educate your parents??
But just the same those who've never experienced depression or even been around depression it makes it even more so difficult for them to possibly understand what it is we go through.
And as many see us as being overly emotional they fail to realize depression is in fact a real illness, a chemical imbalance in the brain which is no one's fault and without help can become worst.
Anna if you feel your symptoms of depression increasing you need to get help.
If you can't get through to your parents perhaps you can talk to your school counselor or family doctor so that they can communicate with your parents on your behalf.
And if your emotions become too out of hand you can always call any crisis help line you can look up on the internet for extra support.
But main thing is you can not ignore your emotional wellbeing and you don't have to suffer alone.
