Please lock your gun up or give it it a friend before you hurt yourself. This is your life we're talking about which is not something you just throw away like a piece of trash. You need to get help right away. There is a suicide hotline you can call: 1-800-suicide. They might suggest you go inpatient at a psychiatric hospital. Are you taking any medication now or seeing a therapist? Do you have friends and/or family you can talk to? Please continue to post here so you can get more support. Let us know what is going on with you. People often say that they feel better after a good vent.

Hey Cdt73. I'm with Heidiclark. VENT VENT VENT. Get rid of the gun. You cant find the bullets, to me that's a sign. YOU are here for a reason and you need to stay. I see in your picture you have a child please please think of your child they NEED YOU, your whole family needs you. Please talk to someone, to us. By all means, please give your gun to a trusted friend for safe keeping. I inherited several guns from my dad, and the ones that were in really bad shape were given to the local police as part of their voluntary gun surrender project. I explained that I had a gun I wished to surrender in my car, and asked them how they wanted me to do it. The fact that they were rusted made it easy for them to let me bring them in.

I'd call first and ask indirectly about the policy in your area before going in with a gun.

You need to be strong for your child. You can do this

Get rid of your gun somehow and reach out for help from someone. If all else fails, go to your nearest emergency room and tell them you're suicidal. Your life is precious and I promise you will feel differently eventually.

Please reconsider your life. I joined this group because I'm looking for answers to questions I've had my whole life. I was majorly depressed for years, took me awhile to see any hope but I will say the answer is not death, it's life. Live for yourself, be brave, do something you never dreamed you can do. You got this.

Your life is very precious, and I am praying you will come to see it that way as well. As other have mentioned you need to get rid of the gun, and more importantly stay strong for your child, they need you in this world. Find a support group in your local area with other people who understand what you are going through and feel. I am praying for you and wish you the best.
