Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I know it might sound rude to tell you make others happy and not you, right? But, I think that when we make someone happy, we can be happy as well, because we will feel that we are useful and valuable. Some people (if not all) go through a lot of darkness throughout their life, but they try so hard to be patient until it passes/goes. Then, the light rises again!
Kara, you are in my prayers,
God bless,
Zuhair
God loves you. You are his precious child.
“Long before he laid down earth’s foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love.”
Here is a poem by Russell Kelfer:
You are who you are for a reason. You’re part of an intricate plan. You’re a precious and perfect unique design, called God’s special woman or man.
You look like you for a reason. Our God made no mistake. He knit you together within the womb, You’re just what he wanted to make.
The parents you had were the ones he chose, And no matter how you may feel, They were custom-designed with God’s plan in mind, And they bear the Master’s seal.
No, the trauma you faced was not easy. And God wept that it hurt you so; But it was allowed to shape your heart, So that into his likeness you’d grow.
You are who you are for a reason, You’ve been formed by the Master’s rod. You are who you are beloved, Because there is a God!
“I know what I am planning for you....’I have good plans for you, not plans to hurt you. I will give you hope and a good future.”
You may feel you are facing an impossible situation, but the Bible says, “God... is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of-infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes.”
