Not to make this site like Facebook, but sometimes I really wish there was a "like" button on these posts. Some of them are so sarcastically funny, ironic, profound, or right on point. I love the "hug" button, why not a "like" button?

We had one for a long time. Too many people complained about it and it got taken away. I guess like Juice said, people began feeling like it was a popularity contest or something.

I suppose not every one can be pleased,but yes I thought many times of a like buttom,specially those days that I don't feel like writting just reading....Question...do you think it's selfish of me not writing a reply when I read people's posts?.......

I don't think it's selfish at all. You read it, and if you feel the urge you write something.

We used to have "ratings" where you could choose inspirational, creative and so on. It got to the stage where people would click on "creative" to bully other members because it basically came to mean you're lying. Back then, when members really did used to run in packs, it meant that if you disagreed with someone they could get 20 "Inspirational" votes, and you'd get 20 "creative".

I think that if you like a post, just comment that you like it, or even post a smiley face. If ratings come back on DS I think it can only be a negative thing. I have pretty low esteem, and if my posts got no likes and someone else's got 50, it would be upsetting. I really think there's no need for it.
